Oompah Band at BrewDog Waterloo Oktoberfest 2026
On Saturday 26 September 2026, Big Smoke Brass brought our 6-Piece Instrumental Oompah line-up to BrewDog Waterloo in London for their Oktoberfest celebrations. Across 3 x 45-minute sets, we mixed traditional Oktoberfest favourites with our signature pop and party tunes that make up our modern take on an Oompah band, entertaining the Saturday night crowd in one of London's biggest beer halls.
6-Piece Oompah Band for BrewDog Waterloo
For the event, BrewDog booked our 6-Piece Instrumental line-up: four trumpets, sousaphone and drums. This compact set-up gives us the flexibility to perform without a singer while still delivering the volume and energy needed for a busy Oktoberfest celebration. The band performed 3 x 45-minute sets throughout the evening, giving guests plenty of live music while allowing the entertainment to continue around the rest of BrewDog's Oktoberfest programme.
Big Smoke Brass at Oktoberfest Events in 2026
BrewDog Waterloo was one of several Oktoberfest events in the Big Smoke Brass calendar for 2026. The previous weekend, our 6-Piece Instrumental line-up returned to Loddon Brewery for the second year running, performing at their annual Oktoberfest celebration.
Our Oktoberfest season also includes a performance at The Cave Hotel & Golf Resort in Kent, where our 7-piece Oompah Band with Singer will bring vocals into the line-up alongside the brass band.
What Does Our Oompah Line-up Play?
Our Oktoberfest sets combine traditional Bavarian favourites and drinking songs with the pop covers and party tunes that Big Smoke Brass is known for. At BrewDog Waterloo, traditional Oompah numbers including Ein Prosit and Na Denn, Prost! were mixed throughout the sets with everything from Get Lucky, Valerie and Crazy in Love to Sweet Caroline, Murder on the Dancefloor and 500 Miles.
The result is our own modern take on Oktoberfest entertainment: keeping the traditional Bavarian flavour while filling the set with recognisable songs that a modern audience can sing and dance along to.
